Teach, Encourage, Assist, Model: The 4-Part Framework That Changes Culture

The TEAM framework reminds adults that every interaction is an opportunity to teach, encourage, assist, and model the character and life skills young people need to grow.

EXPLORE TEAM

Every interaction with a young person is an opportunity.

An opportunity to teach.
An opportunity to encourage.
An opportunity to assist.
An opportunity to model.

That is the heart of TEAM.

Teach

Young people are always learning. Sometimes the most important lessons are not found in a textbook, playbook, or lesson plan. Adults have opportunities every day to teach character, leadership, communication, responsibility, and life skills.

Encourage

Encouragement helps young people see possibility in themselves. A few intentional words can build confidence, restore hope, and remind a young person that someone sees their potential.

Assist

Development does not mean doing everything for young people. It means providing the support, tools, and guidance they need to take the next step for themselves.

Model

Young people are watching how adults respond to pressure, disappointment, conflict, and success. What we model may teach louder than what we say.

TEAM is more than a name. It is a reminder of how adults can intentionally approach every interaction with young people:

Teach. Encourage. Assist. Model.

Because every interaction matters. And every child matters.
